When shooting at long ranges, every little detail becomes critical. The further out you go, the more those details can make or break your shot. Ensuring you have a clear sight picture can be one of the most important. If you cannot see your target, you cannot shoot it. As you begin to shoot, your suppressor gathers a lot of heat. This heat begins to rise off of the suppressor and creates a mirage. This mirage can obstruct your view making it almost impossible to see the target. Our Metal Python Suppressor Cover is made to mitigate that mirage coming off of the suppressor.
Only from Cole-TAC can you get the leading suppressor cover retention system. Using our unique BOA locking straps, you cover is secured to your suppressor ensuring it stays in place while shooting. Other covers out there loosen up over time and begin to slide off. When you are on target, the last thing you need is to look up at your cover. We have done extensive testing and found that the BOA system keeps the cover in place round after round. Other great benefits of the BOA straps include allowing for stretching over time, and being able to use it on similarly sized suppressors.

Our covers are made from only the highest quality materials. The inside material is rated to 1800°F. The outer shell is a durable 1000 Denier Cordura Nylon that is water resistant and stands up against fading, abrasion, rot, and mildew. We even chose a high quality fire resistant thread to ensure every aspect of the cover can stand up to the toughest environments.

The cover is well constructed. A little gripe about the website though. I didn’t have my can handy to measure but the Ultra 9 dimensions were listed on the size chart, so I went with those. It turns out they are wrong, it should be nine inches even, not 8.75. Close enough, but not correct.

I’m utterly impressed. This is my first suppressor cover. I’m running this on a 30 cal Form 1 can which is pretty slick (uncoated titanium tube) and it seems to stay in place even with it being so slick. Plans to sandblast and cerakote soon so there shouldn’t be any trouble.
Nonetheless, it handles my 300 blackout well as well as .308. I don’t really mag dump with my 300 or my .308 so I think it should last a while. Heat mitigation is great compared to no cover at all.
The hand stitching is superb. I got my cover color in Woodland/M81 and it’s perfect. Straps are heavy duty and the metal buckles will probably outlast me. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

Got my cover in 10 days from the day I ordered (was expecting 2 weeks minimum). The fit is exactly perfect for my can. The craftsmanship is insane. I took it out yesterday for the first time and here are my takeaways, heat mitigation was awesome! So awesome that I forgot that the buckles are made of metal and they were hot. The fabric was warm but totally manageable. There was some slippage but after the cover heated up I was able to tighten up the straps. Perfect cover. I was referred to Cole-Tac some time ago by SiCo when they no longer had Harvester BigBore covers in stock. I just got around to measuring the can and ordering during a holiday sale. I couldn’t be happier with the product. I’m pretty sure my Omega cover is also Cole-Tac, just supplied by SiCo at the time. I’ve hunted a lot with it in the elements and zero issues. I’m certain my new cover will hold up the same. I like the stricta cord addition. When hunting I have snagged the suppressor cover and I see this as a safety against it being pulled off. Just took this Metal Python cover to the range for the first time and I am impressed, especially for the price. Running my can at a moderate rate with .308 AR platforn and a 6.5 CM bolt rifle no mirage and was able to handle the can with bare hands. The only quirk, and it’s a really small thing, is needing to seat the QD mount with the unlocking spanner which is really nothing. Just food for thought for those who run with multiple rifles.

I’ll start off by saying that I did NOT use this for a suppressor. I used it as a “handguard cover.” I built an AR-15 with an Aero Precision Atlas M-Lok hanguard. For anyone that has the Atlas, you know that if you are holding the handguard directly, during sustained fire, it gets pretty hot, pretty fast, to the point where you can’t touch it. I love the extended-arm-thumb over-the-top-grip or whatever you call it. It’s the most controllable and comfortable for me. I wanted something that I could grip that would keep my hand cool. I wanted to keep the streamlined look and not put any plastic covers on the Atlas. A) because I think they are ugly and B) they don’t work very well and keeping your hand cool. I found out Cole-Tac makes custom covers with velcro and straps that can be custom made to a certain diameter. So I took a string, wrapped it around the part of the Atlas I would hold, measured the string to get the diatemer, added a little more just in case, then decided on a 6 inch length because I want the barrel to be able to give off heat, not be insulated. Filled out the form with all the information and received my order 2 weeks later. Packaged nicely and even says who it was sewn by. Quality is outstanding. No loose threads, no gaps between the different layers of material. Installation was simple and straighforward. Taking it the the range, I dumped 100 rounds in 5 minutes and got her smoking hot. Could NOT feel any heat through the cover. I wish I had a thermal camera, that would interesting to see the temperature difference. The velcro and straps are not uncomfortable to grip. I think this could be a great secondary use of these Cole-Tac covers. Highly recommend.

Though I don’t go to the range to burn through mag after mag to make my suppressor glow…I do shoot enough to where touching the suppressor would not be advised. The cover is a must for anyone shooting more than a few rounds unless you just enjoy sitting around the range by yourself waiting for it to cool down enough to pack it up. The quality has never let me down and have not had any issues. I have two of these and a Baby Python as well. Top notch and can’t recommend enough.

I ordered this model at 1.5 Diameter and 7.750 Length for my SIG MODX45 Suppressor. A note to anyone that orders one, don’t get one that slides on for this type of suppressor since the outside of the 3D printed one has sharp edges that will cut the material. This buckle style works much better.
I am VERY pleased with the fit and function of this buckle style cover. I am so pleased with it, I ordered two more for my OSS RADX22 and my Nomad 7.62. Very pleased. Will order from here again when I receive the next Suppressor.

I ordered a custom size with the exact dimensions of my suppressor. The cover still has too much material and bunches up when tightened.
In addition, no matter how tight the cover is it slides forward slightly due to recoil on each shot. Even tightened so tight I can’t slide it back in to place without loosening it, within 4-5 shots it is about an 1” overhanging the front of the suppressor.
This is on a relatively light recoiling 7mm-08. I can’t imagine how bad this would be on heavy recoiling guns or under rapid fire.

This company really stands by the no bs warranty. Had to have my cover replaced due to damage caused by one of my suppressors. They had a new cover to me within a week after returning my damaged cover. I have two covers from this company and both have held up fantastic even with interchanging covers to different suppressors.
